So Mr Horton has left Macclesfield Town, does anyone else believe that he is the type of backroom staff that Barmby needs while he is still learning the ropes of management.

Correct. But i would suggest that Brian could have a role to play at some point in the future. Maybe when PL status is returned to Hull City. Horton up in the gods watching down could be a good role for him. imo.

Who knows he could be returning as manager - if Barmby has gone, he must be one of the choices we as a whole would want as next manager. He knows the club, the area and some of the players

Ive posted this on other threads. In terms of building bridges with fans, being cheap and handling a team on a shoestring he's literally the perfect choice. The Allams would be stupid not to go for him.

I would imagine 99.999999999% of fans would prefer him to Billy Davies or any other such candidate and he'd be cheaper. It's the only way to get fans back on side.

Only Brownie/Horton without the input of AP, Duffer n Bartman would keep some quiet now.

Question is even if asked would he want to come?

I obviously don't know the full extent of the story but the way it would appear NB has been treated looks pretty poor.

Would you want to come and work for any person/organisation with such a lack of understanding in the business they're supposed to be running?

If he took the Macc job I would suggest he needs the money. Nick is fortunate in that he doesnt.
