This is ma horse ta follow this season Further reeding in tha link http://www.irishracing.com/v5newsitem?prid=58287
UN ATOUT makes his seasonal debut tomorrow. (12.15 Navan) Hopefully a stunning one! Take the 33/1 ante-post for the Supreme now, because it'll be long gone if he wins today.
Lovely start to his hurdling career, beating two decent horses in the process and has been cut to 16/1 for the Supreme in March.
UN ATOUT is set to run in the 2.45 @ Naas this afternoon. Onwards & upwards!! ps: Ron, why has the horses to follow index been removed from the sticky list?
Good luck today Gal. I've taken some of the 16's each way for the Supreme like I mentioned on today's thread. Only for a tenner mind. Should hammer these today. Skinny price but I think he's actually value - done the double with Aupcharlie. It's win or bust for me on these two.
http://www.irishracing.com/news?prid=66167&headline=Very-easy-for-Un-Atout It would seem he's going straight to the Supreme judging by Mullins comments.
I took 20s before his last race for a back to lay situation and I think his current best price of 7/1 is absolutely bonkers. Fair enough he's been ultra impressive in his two hurdling starts to date but he's beaten absolutely nothing of note! Happy to lay it off in a few days for a free bet as I think he'll get even shorter but to be single figures having never competed in a Graded race is insane! Well done for getting 33s Galaxy and great spot potentially
I agree, he's far too short for what he's achieved so far, but i'll be doing the same & laying him off on the day most probably so i have a free bet. Even layed at 8/1 it's a free 25/1 bet. (I can see him going much shorter myself)
I'm not concerned with the fact he hasn't contested, yet alone won, a Grade 1. If the horse has easily and impressively dismissed a horse that a G1 horse has had more difficulty beating I would see that as a G1 winner in waiting. However, as far as I can see, Un Atout has only beaten one horse that has ever contested a Grade 1 or 2 race, that being Rory O'Moore who was been beaten twice in 2 G2 races (once very easily) and trailed in 58l behind Jezki in a G1. Un Atout did beat Rory O'Moore very easily (and by 19l) so one question that could be asked is, could he have won by 58l. There again Jezki won very easily so could he have finished further than 58l in front of Rory O'Moore. Again, being so far behind, was Rory O'Moore eased more behind Jezki than when behind Un Atout. It's always difficult assessing just how good an easy winner is but from where I'm sitting Un Atout has a lot of improvement to make to stand any chance of beating Jezki. Also Jezki has won on soft and good going whereas Un Atout has only raced on soft or softer. I could not back Un Atout to beat Jezki and 7/1 looks poor ew value. For the ew bet I like the look of Whispering Gallery 50/1, having twice beaten Opinion Poll. He seems indifferent to the going and made a promising hurdling début. Potentially could be superior to all of these and surely will not start at 50/1.
UN ATOUTlooks set to run in the 2.15 @ Leopardstown on Saturday 9th Feb (Deloitte Novice Hurdle Grade1) Hopefully another convincing performance will give us a better idea on where he stands among this seasons Supreme contenders. Fingers Crossed
A real shame. This would have been an ideal race to give us some clues as to his best distance. Looks Supreme bound then presuming all is well with him. Was looking forward to seeing him run.
