---------------------Freidel----------------------------- Corluka-----Dwason-----Shawcross/Samba----Benni --------Sandro/Parker/Hudd---------Modric---------- Lennon--------------------VDV--------------------Bale ---Drogba/Anyone else Harry manages to get---- I think a transition to 4 2 3 1 from 4 4 1 1 will be good as it gives as a godd base to start attacks from either the wing or the centre, modric and huddlestone/parker/sandro can drop back and pull the strings, trying to cut holes in defences with their precision passses, and a big powerful forward like drogba is just what we need so if our passes arent working, we can cross a ball for him to get his head on or let him drop deep and work some magic. I also think we need another centre half to replace gallas, obviously king will play for the 4 games a season when he is fit, but when he isnt i think we need a big commanding centre half partnering dawson, who is more o a quick, nimble guy who cuts out passes rather than heading crosses clear thoughts?
Where's Ledley in all this Wengerwater? I'd prefer a younger striker than Drogba brought in. He showed a bit of petulance last season at being left out. A bit risky imo.
Until Spurs buy an out and out 'lone striker', this is all abit hypothetical really, as for formations...tosh, teams need to be fluid during a game, and the most important formation is how we set up without the ball. What Modric's doing as a 2nd holding MFer I don't know either really.
After watching Kyle Walker in the Euro under 21's I'm hoping that we get a chance to see him as a starter sooner rather than later. Besides that i think you're more or less on the right lines.
My hopeful first 11........ realistic aswell Friedal Walker King Cahill Ekkoto Lennon Sandro Modric Bale VDV Falcao Subs.... Dawson, Cudicini, Leandro, Pav, Hudd, Parker, Gallas ( Rotate between Rose, Corluka, Pienaar, Crouch ETC
That would be quite nice. No room for Defoe or Kranjcar though? I'd rather have them than Crouch/Pienaar/Parker.
Hey solidspur, I think Kranjcar is off hence why i didn't put him in the team. I think Falcoa would be our 25 a season type striker and we wouldn't need Defoe anymore. The only reason i would keep Crouch is for the odd games where he can come in and cause problems. He certainly wouldn't be first choice but just used every now and then.
Thor trying to be realistic mate. We can't say Aguero and Falcoa upfront because that's not going to happen but the possibility of getting Falcoa as one major signing could happen. I think the team i put up could easily break the top 4 next season.
Ok Don but you're having us with a one striker set up unless I'm missing something. I'd have Gallas as first choice and 2 strikers.
