I realise the latter isnt PC but many older people use it in the best of intentions. Good job Maloney doesnt play for them as loads of people were calling him a midget the last time we played them. I love the fact that you cant call someone a princess or tell them to man up if they are play acting, yet seemingly calling them a **** is ok. So we get a song going, "and its Queen..." - rozzer "right youre nicked sonny"
I hope they put it in their rule book and hit Rat-Boy over the head with it, with him wearing a muzzle, just in case...
That can't be real!! I think the only time I've heard the word 'bender' since school was in Inbetweeners. Wimpy (burger chain) sold something called a 'bender' not sure if they still do.
"Blind sausage fiddling taff", also seems to remain on the menu. There is a freedom of speach issue however if your inocently chatting about your favourite jewish group "yid vicious" while reminicing about a week in Tailand sharing a nip of whiskey with a she-man tranny midget. I may never have that conversation, but I want the right to have it.
What a load of ****. I'll be ****ed if some **** is going to censor me. I will obviously not be taking my tourettes inflicted mate to Anfield if we get a cup draw with them. Nor will I be discussing which horses are handicapped in the 2:30 and certainly not naming the jockey riding 'Knob' in the 3:00! This HAS to be a joke, doesn't it?
And then I told my boy that old favourite tale about the boy who stuck his finger in a chink in the dyke...
The pikey scouse sambos in drag most of them are licky lizards and them that are not live in paddyland where everyone is thick as honky dildos
Oh, how I yearn for those days when only sticks and stones would break my bones. The thing is, I couldn't give a flying frack what anybody cares to call me. Yes, some terms are upsetting, particularly when there is some element of truth in there (as in 'you ugly, tiny-knobbed inadequate, Ãber!') but I can get over it. A piece of 4x2 with a nail through it I find a little harder to recover from. I fear for the world that we're hurtling towards. Whilst on the one hand it is hard to argue against the underlying sentiment, which is clearly to eliminate all forms of discrimination and persecution, particularly of minorities, these very actions ignore the fact that we're all flawed humans. What we feel in our very core ain't gonna change. We go out of our way to both align ourselves to groups and to alienate ourselves from groups. If we're from the South we stereotype them thar oop narth as cloth cap-wearing, pigeon fancying miners that inhabit a world where the rainbows are still in black & white. Those from the North ridicule us Southern soft nancies and our fizzy beer. We align ourselves to our county against the neighbouring county. We side with our town against the neighbouring town. We close ranks with out street against the neighbouring street. I even dislike one of my neighbours (but that's cos he tried to cop off with Mrs Ãber one Christmas). Whether its gender, sexual orientation, race, religion, musical tastes, which team you support, height, weight or facial features, we all see a difference, whether we admit it or not. Its just human nature - we're made to spot the difference. It doesn't mean there's hatred or discrimination there, although of course that is true in some cases. It just means we notice what sets us apart just as much, if not more, than what brings us together. To seek to suppress certain outlets where these come to the fore is to deny the very essence of being human. The more that it happens the more that it will build inner resentment. Whilst the resentment builds against those that seek to repress us, I fear that it will one day be taken out against those they seek to protect by these measures. There is a balance to be struck and we have not looked for it. Instead we have simply said no to everything and anything that might offend somebody, somewhere at an uncertain time and in uncertain circumstances. We may as well ban all matches in case one causes a fire. We may as well ban all cars as one will lead to a death. We may as well ban all alcohol as one drink will lead to antisocial behaviour and violence. We may as well ban all writing as somebody's prose will incite rebellion. This Brave New World is becoming more and more crap by the day. Has anybody else noticed how the more technologically advanced we become as people, the more left-liberal we have become? And the more left-liberal we have become as people, the more uncivilised and feral we have become too?
Apparently Chelsea have issued a statement that says the term "The Special One" can now only be used in relation to John Terry.
