but won't get my hopes up too high, just had a text saying we have asked chelsea about sturridge on loan, but there is plenty of interest in him so we are not very hopeful.
Buy the effin lot. Will cost less than the money than we sold bent & hendo for. DW enjoyed his time here, little word in his fellows under 21's ear and hey presto we can have the future England forward line. basing that assumption on the italian knobhead not being in charge. Statement of intent Messrs Short & Quinn please. P.S. Am I being ever so slightly delusional here or extremely delusional.
Aye would love sturridge, but not on loan. Cracking left foot. Need a proper, permanent striker to play alongside gyan.
agree bobby, and i can't see how we don't have the dosh, we've only spent 6m on sessegnon since selling bent and henderson for around 40m, and when september 1st comes we'll all know how ambitious on the transfer front we really are
We will end up with a load of loanees, and no team for the following season, so Brucie if he survives, will need another team of players in the window, history repeating itself.
I don't think you will get Sturridge if I am being honest. We have been linked as well but as much as I would love it to be true, I just can't see it happening. I think he is probably more likely to join us than you but thats just based on money we are hopefully going to spend seriously. I think Welbeck will join you guys on loan again and I could see Bruce putting in a bid for Rodallega. Both of our clubs are in desperate need of a striker so it will be no surprise if we are both chasing the same players.
And what do you think Bruce is going to be doing with the 18m from Bents sale and the 16m from Hendersons sale AND the kitty Mr Short has put forward? I bet we spend far more than Fat Mikey the cockney pikey does form the £35m he got from Caroll? At least £25m of that will be going into the tubby arsed barcode owners pocket and you know it. You're off loading the big earners in case you missed the news recently not recruiting more of them?
Judging by todays comments, you will be taking in Top 4 rejects on loan deals again . I wasn't having a go at you, I was just giving you my opinion on your chances of signing Sturridge. Bruce openly admitted he prefers the loan market, so I don't see you spending anymore than we do. Offloading the big earners and bringing in younger, cheaper and potentially better replacements is hardly a bad thing. Although I am sad to see him leave, Nolan's legs are going anyway and I wouldn't have thought he would be a regular had he stayed anyway. Cabaye is a replacement, won't be on as much wages, has more years ahead of him and is a French international who cost the same fee we paid for Nolan 3 years ago. Who else have we offloaded?
