After the Emirates goal fest last Friday Arsenal head to the Potteries aiming to make it 6 points out of 6. Arsenal have found a new system that they have perfected which involves playing Cech in goal and then have the 10 outfield players doing anything but defend and so far it has served them well this season. A lot has been made of the hand ball which brought about Arsenal's 3rd goal. But (even as a Spurs fan) I can see that it was a price worth paying to wipe that ****ing smile of Jamie - still having a ****ing party - Vardy's smug face. However if those three points mean you finish above Spurs I will of course whine and bitch like Wenger does whenever you mo fos lose. Stoke are simply ****e. Hughes is as miserable and ugly as the football his team inflict on the league. Sanchez is still begging city to buy him ... sorry... is still recovering from the flu but Oxo Chamberlain has given Arsenal a boost by laughing at the idea of joining Conte at Chelsea citing the fact that Conte will be go before fat boy Diego who actually looks like he has eaten a whole Costa Coffee Shop. Arsenal have a chance to go above the Northern powerhouse that is Huddersfield if they get a result. If Arsenal lose on Saturday they will of course get cheered up when Chelsea beat Spurs on Sunday ... However, the possibility of losing is not the worst thing about this match...it is live on BT sports so you will have to cope with Owen and McManananananananaman with Hargreaves chipping in. When the kids were little Mrs RCL and me used to have date nights twice a month just to have a bit of time out of the house without the girls. Mrs RCL once fell asleep in the cinema on one of our date nights about 8 or 9 years ago and boy do I remind her of it...usually straight after I have messed up...so quite regularly. I have a feeling that many gooners will be following Mrs RCL's example from 5.30pm on Saturday night while listening to that exciting trio drone on. Oh and Danny Rose...complaining of low pay (while getting £65,000 per week, plus bonuses, plus endorsements) in the ****ing Sun (of all newspapers) which paid him thousands for the interview. Footballers, greedy and twatty.... never! Here's hoping the goons are as successful on Saturday as Rose was in getting the pay rise he says he's worth.
Still no Sanchez for this one, though apparently he will be ready for the Liverpool game. Ramsey will probably play with Xhaka in the middle. And Mert and Mustafi are available to be picked today too. Will be interesting to see which two of Bellerin, Kolasinac and oxo play.
@SkySportsNews: #AFC XI to face #SCFC: Cech, Mustafi, Monreal, Kolasinac, Bellerin, Ramsey, Xhaka, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Ozil, Welbeck, Lacazette. I saw a lot of anger why the Ox is left instead of Bellerin to the right (and use a proper left person on the left). Murphy's law says.... Bellerin to provide an assist. Put a 5er on it!
And we are back to back 4... or is it back 3? Mert is on the bench, is he still injured??? Holding is not in the squad... Is he going to play Ox in the middle/right/left? So we play the two shortest CBs against Stoke away from home... And who is going to cover them? Sometimes Wenger's team selection is mind boggling. I just do not get it. Why?
It'll be a back 3 again. -----------------Cech----------------- --Mustafi--Kolasinac--Montreal-- Bellerin----------------------Oxocube ----------Ramsey----Xhaka--------- Ozil------------Lacazette-----Welbeck Or Ozil sitting behind Lacazette and Welbeck. The back 3 might be in a different order too.
He works hard and does a lot well until the last moment of play where his end product seems to be off.
People think Ox is being shoehorned into LWB. Which I agree too. Don't you think is a bit like that for özil? I don't see him as an invertered winger or winger. If we had Draxler there then he would be more efficient I suspect ....
I don't think Ozils position is particularly static though, he is allowed to free roam most of the time so comes into the centre a lot. Oxo is good as a wing back I think, though not sure about him on the left.
Bizarre team selection aside, we've looked quite good going forward. Stoke aren't dealing with the slide-rule pass and aren't tracking the runs of our wide players, which has made it easier for us to get in behind. Their back line has also pushed up quite high, much to the benefit of Welbeck and Lacazette. We've looked a bit dodgy when defending on the counter and when heading the ball in the air, but on the whole, we've looked dangerous.
Why the **** would you kick the ball out?! Diouf wasn't injured and even if he was, we were entitled to continue playing Just play on FFS!
