On paper, it perhaps doesn't seem the most exciting game to stay up for, but it is Saturday tomorrow, and you never know with this World Cup.

Ecuador will be favourites, and will be lucky to escape without any injuries if Honduras repeat the physicality they showed against France in the first game, and England in the qualifiers, although they also go into this one without any points.

Both need to win to keep their chances of qualifying alive, realistically.

    Team news later.

I'll be staying up for this but... well, it's not exactly exciting me.

Come on Ecuador! You should be beating team History Channel. Actually I don't really care who wins this one, but Honduras have been such a dirty side.

And it didn't take long for Honduras to get their first card. True to form I guess.

As I suspected, the Honduran player Boniek is named after the Polish legend. Thought it was an odd name for a Honduran. Still odd that he'd be named after a Polish player.

The Honduras team are some of the best pantomime villains we've had in ages.

In the Ecuador games they keep saying about Paredes going to Watford, but I haven't seen anything saying it's official? My Watford supporting chum hasn't said anything about it being completed either.

That would have been the perfect villain goal.

The commentators saying it or news of the transfer?! I've heard them say it this game, and in our friendly against them. I'm sure I heard it in their game vs France too, but maybe not.

The one Honduran player I actually quite like the look of is Espinoza. He was good for Kansas, and hasn't been too bad for Wigan. He also looks to be one of the few Hondurans who doesn't seem hellbent on knocking seven bells out of the opposition.
