    My team:
    MacG;
    Lavelle, Pearce, Famewo;
    DJ, Morgan, Dobbo, Gilbey, Campbell;
    Leko, Burstow.
    I think we'll surprise everybody by keeping a clean sheet for a 0-0.

    I'm liking the optimism <ok>

    Yesterday was a gloomy old day in every respect.
    Time for a fresh start.
    I'd take a point, it's better than losing again.

    Pearce has to return, for his captaincy alone.

    I don't envy JJ for this one. If he sets up defensively and we lose by the odd goal, he'll get abuse for not trying to win at home. But we got shredded by Oxford on saturday, so we badly ned to try something new. Pearce really isn't my solution to anything to be honest. I agree his captaincy is good, but liek famewo (who is being called for elsewhere) he has some terrible mistakes about him, and he has a clumsiness that can be frightening. The problem is if we rule out players who are making costly mistakes, we are down to players who really never play. But if we go with the same formation as saturday, I think the same reult will arrive - our defence is easily read now and everyone we play know there are mistakes aplenty if they press us at the back.

    I’m hoping Fraser will become the natural leader we’re missing on the pitch - as much as Pearce is a warrior and leader he hasn’t the legs anymore

    Should've ditched Watson and kept Pratley.
    I know it's been said n times. But that was a poor call.

    We've used 33 players this season so far, and that's just in the league.
    Three whole teams.
    More players than actual games played.

    At least Burstow showed a bit of energy last time, and he should start. Even if our strikers don't score they should close down down the opposing defenders like Washo and Stockley do, so whoever is prepared to work their socks off should start alongside Burstow. The fans won't stand for anything less.

    Away win, we have nothing to play for. Milton Keynes have.

    How far we've fallen. To have less will to win than a franchise <wah>

    I'm going to sit through tonights game again. It really needs alcohol to endure another repeat of saturday, but I'm really not sure it would be a good mix while we are playing so badly. I'll suggest a 0-2 home defeat and another round of flagellation on the Charlton forums. I'm trying to keep off as much as possible - the football is enough without some of the saturation craziness that every new defeat brings.

    The last time I remember losing 0-4 at home was to Brighton under Gus Poyet. That was worse IMO because we hardly saw the ball, they passed us off the park for 90 minutes. Saturday was the first real thrashing under Jacko, and I don't expect another one tonight. Maybe my confidence is misplaced, but I expect a tight game. The team selection will be more sensible, Jacko's not stupid, he will have learned a thing or two. I just hope we don't throw in the towel if MK score first.

    Not sure if I’m going watch this or not - may well see team selection before purchasing

    Yes, I'm not sure about this 3-5-2 lark. Jacko believes in it though, so he'd better start making it work.
