Compare our defence now to when NJ arrived and you have to respect him. It was shocking, but even though we didn’t play much fluid football Mannion didn’t have a save to make apart from a couple straight at him. Macca is the most improved player, at both ends of the pitch.
We are grinding out results despite not having much attacking threat in the side. Thats a testament to hard work & organisation. The vast majority of our goals come from set pieces or defensive mistakes. We are certainly not scoring many from creating chances.
Both sides looked average but we did enough to get the points. Everything seems to be going our way with other results over a period of weeks so we might stay lucky and secure our place in the top six. Here’s hoping.
