Hoping everyone's fit after their exertions on Tuesday, don't see why not, there's no midweek game this week. I expect Kane might come in, with Clare replacing Morgan in midfield, which would be tough on Albie. If young Leaburn isn't ready for another 90 minutes Bonne might even get a start.

Glad to see Dobson in the team - phew !

Captain Dobson.

If he is sold it will be a massive slap in the face for Dean Holden and what he is trying to achieve. And an insult to all fans.
Being positive, if we hang on to Dobson (and hopefully our bright youngsters as well) I will take it as a message that there is some commitment to CAFC making progress towards promotion - if not this season, then in 2024.

We'll see...

I think his sale will be confirmed 10 minutes before the end of January.

Cos I’m a boo boy

Good, gritty performance after all the hard work at Old Trafford on tuesday. The opening made me fear the worst - our defence looked disorganised and Barnsley looked pretty smooth, but the ball never quite fell for them, which was also what happned to Rak-Sakyi when he tried to shoot with an easy square ball to Payne begging to be delivered. But Campbell opened them up and we began to look better (although the fact they hit the bar twice in the first half shows how close they were to levelling. Second half was simlar but a great finish by Bonne which their keeper edged onto the post was followed in by Rak-Sakyi.
At 2-0 they still pressed but I don't remember AMB having to makea a save. although he dominated his box well. 2-0 and three more points.

The best was how many of our youngsters are now starting to look settled in league 1. Leaburn looks an automatic starter now, ahed of Stockley. Ness showed real composure at times, Campbell was possibly ou MOTM, and AMB turned in another performance to keep himself as starter.

The down side was that some sloppy passes by nearly everyone let Barnsely in more than we really needed, and some silly yellow cards in the second half . But all in all, a great afternoon for us.

Probably Dobbo's worst game for us, yet we kept a clean sheet. Funny old game, eh. Barnsley probably had more shots off target than any team we've played, but they were mostly long-range.
