    Sapphire provided some stats on our away support recently.

    Here is some on our home support this weekend:

    We had the highest by far, in the conference. Rovers say 6102 but BBC says 6162.

    The closest attendance in our league was at Torquay who had 2350 followed closely by Kidderminster who had 2117 in attendance. All other games had less than 2000 and 2 games had less than 1000, the lowest was at Southport who had just 730.

    If you add the combined attendances at the following games:
    Southport vs Woking........ 730
    Nuneaton vs Lincoln......... 920
    Gateshead vs Braintree... 1244
    Dartford vs Grimsby......... 1285
    Macclesfield vs FGR.......... 1329
    Total = 5508

    We had this just at our own game with a further 600 left over too. The overall amount of people who attend any conference game this weekend, including at Rovers = 22,887 people. It works out that we had just under 27% of the overall amount of people at our game!

    Moving up a league, comparing our attendance yesterday vs all league 2 attendances....

    Only 1 game in league 2 had a higher attendance than us. That was Plymouth vs Shrewsbury who had 6229 watching that game. All other league 2 games had less than us and only 3 of them managed to get over 5000. Although out of those 3 games the highest was 5284 Southend vs Morecambe. So the 2nd highest in league 2 yesterday was around 900 less than what we had. Wycombe drew at home yesterday and if they had won they would be top of league 2 but now sit 2nd. They only managed to get 3822 in attendance.

    Moving up a league again, comparing our attendance vs all league 1 attendances....

    Only 4 games in league 1 had a higher attendance than us. That was Chesterfield vs Sheff Utd, Bradford vs Crewe, Coventry vs Crawley and Preston vs Colchester. Compare our attendance to the current top 6 clubs in this league. 2 of these teams have been mentioned already (Chesterfield & Preston) who got a higher attendance in their game over us. However the 4 clubs in the top 6 of league 1, Peterborough, City, Swindon and MK Dons had less people watching them!!

    So considering our away support stats and our home support stats, we should be very proud gasheads.

    But we should be angry too. Out of 36 games in the 3 divsions, leagues 1 & 2 and the conference this weekend, we have the 6th best attendance. Now think of the prices our club charge for season tickets and matchday tickets. Very high when you compare to championship clubs! So we can imagine the gate reciepts Rovers get should mean we should be easily competing with the best teams in league 1 along the likes of City for example. But somehow we are where we are! Recent seasons have really shown that those in control of our budget on wages/signings and anything else, have really screwed us over and have a lot to answer for.

    Definitely means we have a lot more cash coming through the gates than the other sides in the conference and most of the sides in league two...
