Good blog again, however i feel that Montrose will be an attacking box to box kinda midfielder along with lee. Hess has stated that wycombe werent getting the best out of him playing him in the holding role and from preseason i’d agree he is big strong and athletic and makes good driving runs forward and has a thunderous shot on him. i see him and maybe weston or spiller playing either side of lee whose main role will be to hold in the midfield whilst making late busts up field when we are in control in the final 3rd. as for the wings whelpdale obviously on the right but the left is anyones guess. for me oli has looked good preseason, he’s looked fit and sharp and seems to play well with kedwell, not sure its a starting pairing but if we need a change up after 45-60min i think it offers and option. hes scored a few in preseason and when he had a run in the team in league one (all those seasons ago) he chipped in with quiet a few goals so dont write him off. i dont think he was ever a right winger but he was one of the few players in the team for pace and the last few seasons we have never had an out and out right winger but we had the left covered with barch now its the opposite
