Indeed yes, I can't take credit though. A fellow contributor to the blog jack or 'thegillsfan' designed it, its brilliant isn't it? There will be a lot of new improvements to the blog soon :D

These "articles" are very nice academic essays but unless you make them a bit more challenging you are not going to get invited to join News Corp. Why on earth should we expect a once good player like King to be on the road to recovery after 2 years out? Unless there was a total misdiagnosis the chance of a recovery is just about zero. Sadly, leaving aside the injury those people who saw King at the end of last season saw him left for dead in short sprints by modest opposition. If he defies medical opinion and does overcome the injury it looks like the speed has gone. Best hope is for him to be a fringe player and adapt his game to what his body will cope with. More likely we may see a few token appearances before he slides down to a bit of non league. Sad but predictable. You might like to observe what will happen to Kieron Dyer and Owen Hargreaves also.

Any article or interview needs to challenge the evidence if it is going to be credible. That does not mean any disrespect to the subject it just means that some analysis of both sides of the story is needed to convince a sceptical audience. In the case of King, just how often has a player come back after 2 years out? What is the medical breakthrough that might make it possible? Is it fair to keep raising hope against all evidence? Even if the injury is fully repaired can a player regain the speed of thought and movement at this stage of a career? we would love to be convinced but where is the evidence?

What a great logo, as a supporter since 1977 it is fantastic to see so many great players once again, re Simon King we can only all hope and pray he recovers from his horrible injury and gets back to his best, if he does and with the superb recent signings we have made we will make top 3 and gain automatic promotion, it can never be taken for granted how important to the Gills the King is! Long live the King Long live the Gills!
