Sad to say today i haven't been able to report on any good news, really feel sorry for the guy. http://theshoutingmen.wordpress.com/2011/07/22/birchall-out-for-the-foreseeable-future/
Yes forseeable is a bit of an exaggerration. We should expect to see him making a contribution next season but it will probably be in the new year. You have more confidence in Stefan Payne that anyone else. Oli is a realistic replacement but his track record over the last couple of seasons shows poor fitness availability so we have to expect him to become injured soon which may create a need for a loan signing. Perhaps Payne could be sold for medical research.
Stefan Payne has been mentioned a lot on this board, although I don't share the same confidence or should I say his lack of it. Oli despite varied opinion, would be my choice out of the two, despite him still having a lot to prove, I also remember Kedwell speaking about looking forward to playing along side him but it was up to the gaffer (not a quote but words along those lines).
rochdale have a striker 29 yr old anthony elding, he has just turned down a move to plymouth. he was bought from leeds in 2008 by crewe for 175k then to rochdale. may be on a free transfer. peter reid of plymouth rates him but elding had the medical and then refused to go. this happened today! good luck
