BLACKBURN a club fighting relegation won more games at home than Liverpool. This season we lost to the following clubs, West Brom , Wigan, and Arsenal. We drew with the following, Aston Villa. Tottenham,Stoke, Blackburn, Manchester City,Swansea, Norwich,Manchester United, and Sunderland.Points lost in total 27. At home manchester City won 16,Manchester United won 14, Arsenal won won 12, Newcastle won 11, Tottenham won 11, Chelsea won 10 Fulham won won 9 Everton won 8, Sunderland won 7 West Brom won 6 Blackburn won 6, Liverpool won5.If Liverpool had won five more that is going to be at least 10 points, people are not likely to be talking.I think Kenny knows where to address the problem at home, I believe he have to sort it out sooner than later.
The problem is simply not converting most of our chances. It's a been a funny old season where we can't score no matter how many chances we create, but the opponents seem to capitalise on every mistake we make, which is often once a match.
This season our major problem has been converting opportunities. The only arguments are about why we have not solved the problem and how to ensure that it does not happen again next season. Whilst we are playing more exciting football than we have for many years, we do have to accept that we have always had a propensity to draw games that we should have won - and it has cost us dearly.
Obviously not converting our chances is the problem, but the lack of success in front of goal leads to other problems. The defence is basically sound, but pushing up the field in search of the elusive goal can leave us exposed to a pacey counter-attack. This, imo, is why we are conceding goals when the opposition hardly even gets in our half. Johnson is great as an attacking force, but I think he lacks discipline and is caught upfield a lot when we're being attacked. This means that Skrtel gets pulled out wide which in turn leaves us light in the centre. There was an instance in the WBA game where Enrique was way over to the right helping out. If we made more of our chances we wouldn't be in such a panic to score and we could maintain a better shape.
obviosuly if we won more away form home its the crowds fault better get behind the guys naxt year eh?
This summer we need two proven finishers, change nothing else but the fact that we have signed some players that can put the ball in the net. Normally we'd be allowing time, but 30 odd games have shown the strike force is not firing. We have played well enough to be 3rd but for finishing, I even dare say we'd be challenging if the finishing had been on song. Change nothing but strikers. We need goal scorers, so we only keep Andy and Luis and get the otheres gone and bring in two strikers that will make Suarez work hard for his place, andy, he is a horse for a certain course and will always be so. To put it simply remove the bottleneck to progress at the rate you wish to. Goals. All else bad has stemmed from lack of goals including confidence dips and pressure added. We've a decent defense good keeper good midfield can create chances galore can defend efficiently (made easier especially when you can score) And for the love of god someone tell Suarez he can play it 'simple' stupid
BBF I don't think Suarez knows a "simple" thing exists. It's frustrating sometimes but I think that unpredictability is, and always will be, his game.
I honestly think we're cursed at home this season. I just want next season to come quick so we can't scrap this seasons home record. Kenny knows where the problem lies and I'm sure he'll address it in the summer (hopefully).
