New away kit for 2018/19 revealed
    Thursday, June 21st 2018

City have revealed their new away kit for the upcoming 2018/19 Sky Bet Championship season.

The kit is made up of a predominantly white shirt with black shorts and socks, featuring the robin crest.

Supporters can pre-order their strip now and receive it before general release by visiting the club’s new retail website, which also launched this morning.

Fans will be able to purchase the full away kit in the Bristol Sport Store later this summer.

Adult shirts are available in small to 5XL sizes, priced £45, with youth sizes from three years to 14 years for £35.

Adult shorts (small to 2XL) cost £25, with youth shorts (three years to 14 years) priced £20.

Adult socks are £10 and youth sizes just £8.

Special mini kits can be purchased, from 0-3 months to two-three year sizes, priced £40. This encompasses shirt, shorts and socks.

Exclusive to the away shirt, anthem jacket and training wear, is the return of the crest featuring a Robin perched on a football in front of the iconic Clifton Suspension Bridge. It hints at the kit of the late 1980s, an era which saw City lift the Football League Trophy in 1986, followed by promotion from the old Third Division in 1989.

Bristol City vice-chairman Jon Lansdown said: “This year’s kits give a nod to the late 1980’s and as such, provide the perfect opportunity to bring back the robin for a special edition away shirt.

“Entering the fifth season of shaping our own kit design, we are proud to do things differently and the return of the robin adds to that tradition.

“I hope the fans like the new designs and enjoy wearing them with pride.”

The club teased images on social media over the last seven days, before releasing the full kit on the new Bristol City FC supporters’ app this morning, which can be downloaded to your smart phone via your preferred app store.

The app will be your matchday hub for the 2018/19 campaign, complete with an exciting augmented reality Ashton Gate experience, news articles, exclusive videos, interviews and more.

All 2018/19 Under-12 Season Card holders can claim a free shirt once on general sale from Friday, July 27th, using their start-up balance to the value of a junior replica club shirt. This balance can only be redeemed for a junior replica shirt on or before Sunday, September 30th 2018 and can be used in store or online. Please note juniors that require an adult shirt size are subject to an additional £10 upgrade fee which can only be redeemed in store.

Quite nice - a little bit retro.

So does this mean we have the coat of arms on the home kit and robin on the away? I'd personally quite like that compromise...

Can’t make my mind up , not sure I like the black band , I really liked this seasons hone top , shame the lettering came off so easily as it now looks shabby .

Will wait for the home top to be announced before deciding on it or a retro one .

Don't love the home kit, but don't hate it. I'm glad it has white shorts!

I've gone and bought the away one. With the robin it looks a little bit more casual, rather than a football top, so I'll be going for that one.

Meh - I'm a little disappointed. Not bad, but pretty boring.
