i notice not just on 606 but also otib there has been 'disagreements' amongst the city fans on their views on ollie. dont know if anyone heard ollie on twentyman show last friday night but he was asked by a city fan that if he was jobless and city approached him, would he take the job. he said he wouldnt only because he wouldnt get the time needed to do the job as he believed the city fans would lose patience more quickly with him because of being a gashead. so if it wasnt for some of the city fans who still hates him, he would take the job on. so then gasheads, if he did take on the city job, would you think any less of him? do you think he would lose his legendary status with us? your thoughts? on the twentyman show he couldnt praise both rovers and city enough. although he is a gashead, he is 1st a bristolian and therefore he wants both to do well and thinks both teams need each other. in todays evil post he backs city to stay up saying.... fair shout to him i say.
It would only be a problem to me if he was their manager and we were in the same league which is a distinct possibility
Tough question.. If Ollie went for the City job I would have too much respect for him to give him any stick. I would just simply wish him luck. obviously the banter between City and Rovers fans will still be strong.
would you sing this verse.... 'we hate ian holloway and all the reds, the only decent city fans is one thats dead, oh rovers, you got me singing the blues'
Gotta be honest, I would be pissed off with him if he did that. A true blue ****s off to city, would break me heart
That's exactly what I was thinking chris, though I couldn't bring myself to sing it. He's done more good to this club then harm and he deserves every success in his career (though being with city would be a step down for him) but its all good because he wouldn't join them
