Apologies if you boys have already seen this... Does this signal the end for him at our place? Has the gaffer decided that he's not up to Championship football?
Powell said Hollands told him he had to be playing. CP is loyal to him, despite dropping him a few times so I suspect it was a difficult decision for him. Like green, I think he is someone who will command a decent fee (longer contracts with us), so it could create some much needed funds come January without hurting the squad massively.
From what the good doctor has said about the loan in the media I think we have seen the last of Danny if he does OK at Swindon.
On the OS The Doctor says that Hollands has a future at the club. I wonder if Hollands' return to Charlton will coincide with Stephens' departure? CP is showing a ruthless streak which managers must have, and he may have identified the Stephens/Hollands partnership as something which just won't work.
Might be a good place for Green to go. If they can rekindle their od partnership it would do both their careers good.
I'd agree with that, eddie - if you remember, before the season started, I posted that Swindon were poised to bid for Green but Navarro became available on a free and the idea was dropped. Green slinging crosses onto Benno's head just seems to be in the natural order of things - John Still set out the formula and we promptly ignored him - I don't think we've ever seen the best of either player.
Hollands is on his way back - he's done his left foot - nature of damage unknown, but my source says 'out for weeks'.
And here's confirmation of that - "Meanwhile, the club (Swindon) have confirmed loan midfielder Danny Hollands will be out for six weeks after fracturing his foot in the 2-0 win over Shrewsbury. The Charlton player's deal at the County Ground is due to end in February but the 27-year-old is likely to stay with Swindon during his rehabilitation period." BBC Sport
