    Newcastle Airport then joined in the ribbing, tweeting Jamie: "Last time we checked Scotland was about 40 miles away. We'll look into it and get back to you."

    They added in a deadpan tweet a few minutes later: &#8220;We checked. We're definitely not in Scotland."

    Does that mean I can't wear my kilt now?

    If Newcastle is in Scotland then it explains:

    1. Why the ex-England manager couldn't find his way here.
    2. Why Newcastle are so high in the league; it must be the SPL.
