Holiday Advice

Thinking of holidays next year around Easter but I'd like to try somewhere I've never been to before.

Choices are:

Portugal - probably Algarve
Menorca
Tenerife
Lanzarote
Spain - mainland
Madeira

Any of you twats been to any of these holiday destinations? I'd be looking at a villa or self contained apartment as I don't really want to associate with chavs. Never been to mainland Spain but I'd want to avoid anywhere that Channel 5 have featured in documentaries about Brits abroad i.e. Benidorm.

Away to Croatia with the chaps next year too, anyone been?

Portugal is pretty good

I met my wife there actually.

 

Dev is yer man for all things Portugal,stayed in Cascais which is nice but sea is freezing,hope this helps

 

They are all pretty dreadful choices for a holiday, honeydew. Try Lebanon or Benin if you want a warmer climate.

 

Agreed these are not exactly the most exciting destinations in the world but it is a week to 10 days away with the nippers so as long as there is sun, sea, sand and plenty of fanny for me to look at I'm not fussed. Not going anywhere further East though, nowhere even faintly Arabic either. Still not sure if Croatia is a good idea tbh but the chaps are up for it so I'll go along for the giggles.

 

Go to Blackpool, you'd love it.

 

Croatia is a great place to visit for a maximum of 3-5 days. Just don't go down any of the backstreets on your own - you will be bum raped!

I go to Lanzarote at least twice a year so would thoroughly recommend though not many street urchins or child prostitution so the OP might not get what he's looking for in a foreign holiday.

 

Have you been to all the castles in Britain?
