    Scott parker...
    Gareth barry...

Roy will start with one of them. Who would you prefer it to be?

Or would you like it to be somebody else?

    Gerrard?

    Thoughts?

What about Carrick who has been far more impressive for you this season than Jones who has barely played this position?

Carrick should also be played but in front of Jones. He needs space to pass and be creative. Time to scrap the 442. A holding mid, 2 cms further up... Carrick and another, with two wide attackers and a forward through the middle. That's the formation I would try.

Carrick isn't that great defensively & just sits there passing sideways and backwards. Need a bit more to get noticed by Sir Woy.

Parker should definitely start there, although I do think Carrick has been overlooked. Been in the international wilderness too long

Carrick ruled himself out of the England squad.

Britton should have been called up.

As it is, both Parker and Barry.

Gerrard must not play deep CM under any circumstances.

    Hart
    Johnson/Jones Terry Cahill Cole
    Walcott Parker Lampard Young
    Gerrard
    Carroll

Almost certain this is what Woy will go for, swapping Rooney for Carroll after 2 games.

Out of those two, I would go for Parker. More mobile than Barry, although for the first two games, I suspect both will play in midfield with Gerrard ahead of them.

If Hodgson plays Barry and Parker in a two then we're in big trouble. The Montenegro and Holland games were clear example that the pairing doesn't work; Rooney lost his rag due to their inability to pick a pass and now he's missing for two games. Barry has been outstanding for City this season, he just needs the right sort of player next to him; one who can contribute to that attack when needs be. That's why I go for either Lampard or Gerrard next to Barry, Parker is simply terrible on the ball; he must have passed the ball into touch 5 or 6 times against Montenegro. Does anyone remember that twist and turn he tried against the Dutch? Ended up on his arse!

    It should have been Carrick.

Barry should be nowhere near the England squad.

Now I guess it should be Parker and Lampard, although Parker is hardly inspiring.

    ****ing hell Roy. Where's Carrick?

You're clearly a moron if you don't think that Carrick and Lampard is our best option.

I thought Parker and Barry would be your best option. Lampard isn't a holding player, and Carrick didn't get picked.

Lampard plays in a deeper, central two for Chelsea and does it very well.

Carrick should have been ****ing picked.

If Parker and Barry both play we'll get taught a footballing ****ing lesson by San Marino and Greece, just like ****ing normal.

    I hate English football.

Try being welsh mate, at least you have a deep talent pool. Our captain is a 21 year old failure.
