I know he was given a 1 year deal. I'm just wondering where he'll fit in? will he make the 25 or go out on loan again?
I don't think hes that bad of a player and wouldn't mind seeing him get a chance.

The thing is Where would you play him and who would you drop ? I can't see him cutting the mustard in the prem , he hardly played much in our promotion season as it was and some thought he was not good enough for our CCC team. If we wnat to move forward from what ive seen of Hogie i don't see him being part of our plans .

His sub appearance at Goodison was vital to us getting the three points. Very committed player that does what he's told, one of the better at the club when it comes to closing down the opposition. Still has some way to go to be considered for regular playing time but the potential is definitely there and with the current management I wouldn't give up on him yet.

He will never be good enough for us in the prem but weve dropped quite a few out of the 25 by releasing them, he might sneak in there simply because we havent got 25 over 21 players.

I have thought in the past that Hogan had some good games for us and had potential. But in the Premier League, we need pace from our wide players and he doesn't seem that quick to me. Also, I think he weighs about 8 stone and we all know how physical the EPL can be. However, I think Sparky is a marginally better judge of a footballer than me so I'll go with his decision and cheer Hogan's successes.

Hogan could be a half decent squad player but I don't think he will feature much in the first team. Not been given enough chances to improve his game for us but has done well out on loan although it is for teams lower down the leagues.

I wouldn't let him go cheaply just to clear out some of the clutter, he's worth a few quid IMO.

by all accounts he did ok in his loan spell at charlton and as its been pointed out he seems to be a very positive character. I'd like to see him in the squad and not just just to make up the numbers. hopefully he'll have a good pre-season.

He seems a nice lad and I'd like to see him do well. He does need to progress (with the right coaching) otherwise I don't think we'd really be moving forward if he was near the first team.

Hogan is a good player. I think he can do a job as an impact sub. Depends on who we buy though.

I was very optimistic when we signed him. (From West Ham was it) He has bags of potential but he's not yet delivered on it with any consistency. He will be a terrific player for someone at the right level. He's of an age now when it's time to deliver. I trust the QPR staff nad if they gave him a year deal I hope he justifies their trust. Whether he will or not.. who knows...

Hes a much better player than Buz and he got a contract. I agree though, time for the talking to stop and for him to step up to the plate.

Personally, I'd give him a slot in the squad.

I've always thought that hes a decent player but hes got to do it now or forget about it.

Buzsaky shouldn't have been given a contract, that's Sparky's first mistake. Giving Kieron Dyer one is mistake number two. He can't afford any more bad decisions.

He'll get a chance if some nutter comes in with an offer for SWP. DJ, Betty and SWP already obviously squad players at best, could do with offloading sharpish so we can freshen up the squad. 2 -3 walk in first teamers and a couple of squad players will do me. If Hughes can find somebody of the class of Samba, Dembele or Kompany from nowhere, as he ( or Rigg) has done before, that would be very welcome.

In the PL (and come to think of it the Championship also if you want to succeed) teams do not have the luxury of out and out wingers. Wide players must also provide effective defensive cover. That's why the last true winger you will see for a generation at LR was Gareth Ainsworth. That's why QPR hero Lee Cook has been let go. That's why Ephraim won't cut it.

Adam Johnson, Aaron Lennon and Theo Walcott may disagree with you Aaagh. Sure they have to cover back, but even Dave Thomas used to help Dave Clement.

I think Hogan is a fantastic footballer. Never been given a true chance recently so I hope Sparky gives him one. As mentioned, Buz and Dyer got a contract so it's only right that Hogan gets a deal too.

Gazza was a work horse without the ball. Totally different player to Lee Cook.

That's the first poor post I've ever seen from AAAGH on this forum. Its a great record considering the forum's over a year old. Lets hope you're just suffering from a 24-hour thing AAAGH mate!
