Woy played disgusting football at times and he was so weak and limp during press conferences it was embarrasing. Rafa wasted alot of money, he also made some brilliant signings and would have had the likes of Silva, Villa and Alves had there been funds available to him. Like him or not, he could spot talent. And Berb, really commenting on this when your manager has wasted plenty of money himself? All managers do, some players simply don't adapt to new leagues.

Did he, or did he not have to sell to buy once H&G arrived...? When we finished second, we need that extra push but this coincided with the money being withdrawn. Plus, in any other season, we would have won the league that season, it was only because Man Utd had a record run of clean sheets that stopped us, if I remember correctly, you guys had a large number of 1-0 wins that season and VDS picked up the golden glove too.
The other part of your comment was that the only reason you didn't win the title was because Man Utd kept a lot of clean sheets. That's like saying if Wigan had won all their matches this season they'd be top.

Agree with all of that pal. Just hoping Comolli and his team have been doing plenty of scouting this season and we sign players for what they do outside the two summer tournaments!
