Absolute worst pick for manager FA could have made.

Basically said he hoped he would be Liverpool manager for rest of career but managing England is a good consolation prize.

Not as hurt as he would be if I could get my hands on the stupid old ****, who plays injured players in some sort of perverse test of loyalty/will. <grr>

Our last season with Rafa wasn't a great one... but we seemed more to be missing motivation and confidence than anything else.

Hodgson really jumped the rails and sank us. His buys and instruction to players was arse backwards.

    He corrupted Pepe.

A few months with Hodgson knocked us back 4 years. We should have improved the squad that summer but moved backwards; and Hodgson screwed up players that were perfectly fine before he arrived.

Oh well. Things don't always work out.

At least he admits it didn't go well but that was never his intention.

This is how Woy justifies pushing Sturidge to play with an injury and picking semi fit Liverpool to play 90 mins of pointless friendly internationals.
We 'hurt him' (bullshit they guy was inept of the highest level) so he's taking his petty vengeance out on us.

all i can say is glad he is Englands problem not ours, useless senile old fart.

Tobes could probably have done a better job and he would have been intent on trying to **** us up, Hodgson managed it all by himself and gets rewarded with the england job lol, no wonder we are ****e as a country.

Says he, whilst he kicks England even further back into the dark ages. Don't worry Woy, the West Ham job will be waiting for you after the world cup. <ok>

not to be worried... gerrard will retire after this world cup, england will not get out of group.. roy will get a pay off.. and will be back trying to defend at the bottom of the prem in no time.

hodgson was a criminal act by G&H and purslow. for which they got theirs.

Boo-****in-hoo Mr Hodgson. Leading us to a defeat against Everyon and saying "That's the best I've seen us play!" Maybe Purslows hidden agenda was to keep the value of the club low so as not to jeopardise the sale?! I don't know but I do know Woy is just dire, he'll do we'll against the big teams because he likes the 'underdog' role!

18th in the table would suggest more than a little bit of keeping club value low. also if that theory held up FSG would have sacked hodgson the day they took over...

    Hodgson still hurt by Liverpool

This is 3rd/4th time I have seen an article like this insinuating that he was hard done by. Roy signed absolute dross, took us to the relegation zone, made ridiculous statements of "good performances" after ****e results, then told the fans it's all we should expect. He did a **** job and thus quickly lost it. Pardon me if I don't get my small violin out for him.

Although I was sure Woy wasn't right for us, I always thought he was a decent bloke, if a bit dull. If he keeps bringing up this hard done by story though, I might change my opinion.
Please stop whinging Woy, it just wasn't going to work.
And you've fallen on your feet somehow.

Like a lot of us I was beguiled by the 'safe pair of hands' tag when he was appointed. However, it was soon apparent that he didn't have a clue about the club, the fans or the players. Seeing him rub his chin and do nothing as we lost the advantage we had worked so hard to build at Newcastle was just the final straw for me. I'll accept that things and people worked against him during his tenure but he did nothing to help himself. His inability and unpreparedness to meet the requirements of the job condemn him.

Shame the way it went with Roy. Clearly was a bad fit for us, though. Having said that, he didn't really help himself by saying we shouldn't kid ourselves by aiming too high (think he was talking about top four!) and also signing Konchesky! <doh>

Yup, we are still hurt by him, silly old twat took us backwards. I'll see you soon, Woy. It'll only be a short visit, you're going down like Swindon Town.

A case of leprosy is not uncalled for and would give the old fart something to really rub his face for, Dear Lord, if you can get your dad onto it.

We've hit him with gonorrhoea now, let him have the umbrella down the japs eye first, then we will turn him into a pepper. Great idea! Hugs, JC
