With all the tax issues being faced by rangers and reports (albeit in the sun) that there are clubs in the epl that have followed a similar pattern of paying players through offshore accounts, do we think safc might be one of those clubs? We have spent a lot of money over the last 5 years on transfer fees and our wage structure has developed with that so are we one of those culpable?
Impossible to answer really................ Maybe they are, maybe not.... ES may not be an angel....hope we never know.
Mick posted on GC about White the Rangers owner owing tax, he was disgusted. Thats the same Mick who has just moved to the IoM becuase the tak is easier and saves him paying 50%, mind he is a Celtic fan
This tax thing is strange. We, the ordinary man has to pay full tax on relatively average earning's (is it 20% and 40% and 50% for the mega earners) Just makes you wonder how many of the mega earners. Sports people, bankers, company chairman, CEO's etc actually pay the tax we all think they do. The average man gets panned in this country while the top earners get away with ****ing murder. This thing coming out (Rangers) where footballers are not earning a salary as such but in effect are given a loan by the club in order that they only pay 5% is scandelous. Here was I, lead to believe that these poor footballers were paying 50% tax when it is as low as 5%. Rangers, and any other club. Deserve everything they get.
The more you earn and tax you pay, the more you can afford someone to tell you how to avoid paying it. This sounds like he has tried to cut corners somewhere and got caught out.
There are always loopholes as this guy point out the "old switcheroo". http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/footba...p-craig-whyte-beat-the-taxman-86908-23749209/
Any of them found using tax evasion schemes such those used by Rangers should have the income hidden there taxed at 120%. That might stop them from doing it. After all the like of you and me have to pay the full amonut of tax due and can not get around it. Plus if they earn enough to use these schemes they can afford to live with out the money!
