Just heard that Limerick born Jimmy Carr has been putting his money into an offshore account to avoid paying tax.

I fully expect a BBC report, months of reporting in the papers before HMRC take him to court to pursue the money and interest.

It is not illegal so there will be no court case, he is an utter **** though.

Don't worry, Medro. I've already been in touch with harry to ensure he's stripped of all his LAFTA awards.

There is a fine line between avoiding tax and evading tax, Jimmy Carr isn't stupid and neither are his accountants/financial advisers who managed to keep him just about the right side of the law.
However, depositing money into an offshore account and claiming it was a one off "friendship gift" is definitely tax evasion if the money was in fact the result of bungs/commisions/brown envolopes, etc.

Jimmy Carr's always been a bit of a dick. Not sure why this is a surprise to anyone.

Jimmy Carr demands to know who grassed him in

    Hasn't he been punished enough?

No just thought I would add that in as you always want to involve Catholicism and/or Ireland

Jimmy Carr also involved an immediate apology

If only some souls of unsurpassed dignity had thought to do the same...

So if you issue an apology it's okay?

    Gotcha

    Its a start

I would be more likely to go see Jimmy Carr seeing as he has taken responsibility.....instead of being a moaning buck passer who threatens other comedians who make jokes about his tax problem

Jimmy Carr sued Jim Davidson for stealing one of his jokes.

I went to see Jimmy Carr and was surprised to hear him tell a joke stolen from a friend of mine. My mate did not sue him.

    Pointless anecdote there....

Saw him in Belfast before and was impressed with his joke he told in Dublin.

'I love the Irish and I'm all for a united Ireland...'

    As the audience stood applauding

    '...governed by the Queen.'

Said they all booed & sat down.

He wasn't born in Hounslow. I am pretty sure the self confessed violent sectarian Bigot, Med Dog is correct on this occasion.
