Not at all surprised at Warnocks sacking and to be honest totally relieved...It was obvious he lost the dressing room in the way he blamed everything but the players for our poor performances over the last couple of months! as I've said before lower league icon...you cannot play league football and tactics in the Premier! I'd have thought he would have learnt his lesson from Sheff utd, obviously not! I for one am glad he got the tin-tack, I aint waited 15 bloody years to get back and then get dumped back down again, cos thats the way it was seriously going guys. His statement after the Mk Dons farce made me feel mad! I've been a season ticket holder for 25yrs and have stood by my beloved R's threw thick and thin and even put my hard earned cash into the bucket at home games when we went into administration, having said that I'd like to thank Warnock for getting us back where we belong, he was never the man to take us further, that guys is a Fact! and so did TF and the board...GOOD BYE NELLIE AND THANKS FOR LAST SEASON...
"It was obvious he lost the dressing room in the way he blamed everything but the players..." Please explain how blaming everything but the players make sit obvious that he lost the dressing room? I'm no expert, clearly, but I'd have thought that if he'd lost the dressing room he'd have been blaming the players and crticising certain individuals publicly. I think it is to his immense credit that he publicly backed his players, presumably in an effort to build their confidence whilst results were going against them. But, as I said, no expert am I!
Quite a few peeps connected with the club in some way on differing MB's or twitter feeds have stated he lost a fair few of the dressing room, especially after the Traore incident, showing the door to DJ amongst a few things I can remember. As you have said if he had lost the dressing room after stating players who were bad which he was doing at one point by saying how good the team were despite the result, ref, sun being too low, grass being the wrong green smacks of a trun arpound to try to get the dressing room back. I mean when things were going well the banter between the players was great but it has since all but gone, which coincides with the downturn in performance. Neil Warnock did a great job rescuing the club from potential relegation to promotion in such a short space of time and gave us Premier football but the step up was just too much. I am sure he will be a success at another club and truly believe he will go get a job at a Championship club and get them promoted.
Spot on Renault Back when we outplayed Newcastle there was plenty of tweeted pictures of Boothroyds Uggs, the SWP gag etc. When they traveled to Stoke during 'Mo'vember, pictures of the players stash'es were posted. That was our last win, no more funny pictures after that, hardly a coincidence.
Incredible how many "I told you so's" are popping up. What makes me even more angry is that some people are even being a bit gloaty about it. What do you have to gain by slating the man you most likely worshipped a few months ago. No one was complaining after our win at Stoke and after a poor run of form all of these people have popped up saying that he never was a tactician (we all knew that) and he was never the man for the job. The clubs lost a legend and even if you agreed with his dismissal how you cant be sad to see the man who got us promoted is beyond me.
