"Hleb lined up by Queens Park Rangers 11:00 AM 13 January, 2012 Queens Park Rangers Football Club are lining up a move for Alexander Hleb. The Belarus international has had a nightmare time since leaving Arsenal for Barcelona in 2008, and he is now in the final six months of his contract at the Camp Nou. Since arriving in Spain the midfielder has had loan spells at Stuttgart, Birmingham City and Wolfsburg, and it is clear he has no future in Catalonia. According to The Metro, Mark Hughes could offer Hleb, 30, a return to England at Loftus Road, as the new QPR manager looks to add to his squad this month." http://www.fansfc.com/story/38201.html
seems to be back in the picture... http://www.eyefootball.com/news/12218/Queens-Park-Rangers-ready-Hleb-offer.html
Not sure about this, was average at Birmingham. Seems his best days are behind him. Aslo picks up a lot of injuries.
Well, in the 80's and into the early 90's we developed some great players at our club for the big names to steal from us as those players went onto have flourishing international careers as well, and now as we make another foray into the top flight, we have become the Sanitorium. Yes, we welcome all the injury-prone, we'd be delighted to have you here with us as you make good money sitting on the bench or having a nice hand jo.... I mean rub-down by the nurse in bed. OK, I'll be serious, Hleb will be alright, as long as he can stay injury-free. At least we'll always be known as a specialist factory for something or other!
If its on a free then stick him on a small contract till the end of the year. It might just work at not much cost.
If we sign him up and he becomes a legend we can re-adjust the Beatles song HELP I am sure it will work.
