Secondly is it just me or do all your managers from mourinho and beyond enjoy an extended honey moon period and have massive I initial success. If so why do you think that is or is it just down to pure luck. Having said that de Matteo seems a good manager and a nice guy but I would advise caution seeing as most were boasting of scolari when he took over though I certainly think he merits a chance.
