Anyone not thought of raising the funds required to get rid of ashley? We've tried everything else Jokes obviously Well
I started a thread about this last year. I work I posted on this about a year ago. Working on the original supposed price that Ashley suggested of 250Million that would be 5000 per supporter, with an attendance of around 50000. I would then give anyone who put in 5000 season tickets for life. They would have no "shares" in the club. Those would belong to a group of 50 people who would put in 100000 each. They would own the club and would take any profit share that would be available. Essentially we would be foregoing the average supporters ticket revenue but I reckon you could live with that due to TV revenue. You would have to ramp up the marketing to raise additional revenue but with a paying club sponsor instead of freeloading Sports Direct and control of club shop and online sales that should help. First year would be tight and you are relying on staying in Premier League. Also not sure whether the the asking price included the paying back of the 120mill loan from Ashley. If not you would have to add 50% on to supporter fee and owner investment. By the way you would get a free ownership share as you would be in charge of pre-match entertainment (after the Chaos game). You would also be in charge of producing a 5-action plan for the club which must not include any of the following words or phrases (relegated, sell, best players).
Pie in the sky to be fair. I don't think you could realistically crowd fund more than say £5m. You need a large corporate/sports club investor, hedge-fund or multi-billionaire looking for a play thing or we are stuck with Ashley indefinitely. It makes me want to ****ing puke.
Agreed its not been tried before and you are right that its much easier with a single owner. It may well be that once a concept like this gained some momentum that you might attract in some multi-millionaires who want to be involved but don't have enough to commit the whole wack. Once the issue of the initial investment is overcome it should be self-funding as long as you don't go mad on transfers and salaries (a la Man City) and you stay in the Premier League. Hopefully by putting a bit more effort into the Academy you can bring local talent through that would allow you to do that.
The one and only hitman film was and still is leon. Sicario was pretty cool too Matilda has grown into my dream girl now shows how old it is now and still brilliant in comparison to the dross of today.
I'd sell some **** ones. Colo, Saylor, Tiote, Obertan, Gouffran, Rivierre, Cisse Can all go as a black Friday sale
Argie club for Colo, Championship club for Saylor, Tiote and Cisse can go to the middle east or China and the rest can go to ligue 1.
The problem is we would be replacing them with ****e anyway. We got lucky a few years back getting ba on free, signing cabaye and in my opinion santon and ben arfa contributed well for that season too. Now they are all gone and low and behold we are turd again.
