Just to lighten things up a bit I reckon we have enough characters on this board who are reincarnations of historical people and based on their contributions to this board I will nominate: Billy Bonehead as William Shakespeare because of his use of the English language to describe his feelings in a gentle and subtle manner.
Might I introduce someone from literature rather than history. I have in mind the harsh, pedantic, professor Severus Snape from the pen of JK Rowling, who reminds me of someone intolerant of the faults and shortcomings of us, mere mortals. Fit's a certain Mr Armstrong like a glove I feel.
You may be right but at the time of typing that I couldn't remember the name of Wackford Squeers, the cruel headmaster of Dotheboys Hall in Nicholas Nickleby . I have now and it's far more appropriate. (And please Gordon, Sir, forgive me any grammatical errors in this posting, cos I do know that I should not have started this sentence with AND. It's going to be six strokes at least for that!!!!)
@Gordon Armstrong and his puffy blue font will not like that. Not one bit. It'll be 'drop them trousers and standby for a good olde thrashing.
There were only 5 grammatical errors in that post (apart from the unforgivable 'And' mistake) but you're nearly perfectly accurate with your initial analysis
That's completely different, mind . . . . he just sticks them in (seemingly without any thought about any being appropriate)
Mine is appaling after a beer, i dont even attempt smilies. I just randomly press buttons and hope for the best.
