The governments decision to throw open the papers and release the information about the tragic events at Hillsborough, has to be welcomed by football fans everywhere. this is to important to become an "inter club" thing, but I can only speak from my own experiences. Cardiff fans had a bad reputation in the past fair enough, but have cleaned their act up considerably over the last few years, yet they are often the victims of "over zealous" policing to this day, and we are not alone in this, and a lot of the time the police cause more trouble than they prevent............but they are always held up as "perfect".....................OK I know they have a difficult job to do, but at the end of the day they are only human and can make mistakes, but they are always held up as beyond reproach, and any fan who has travelled away will know how untrue this is. Full disclosure of the tragic events will not only give the Liverpool fans chance to finally resolve this issue. And if, as most people believe the police don't come out as "whiter than white" then it can only be a good thing, don't get me wrong I'm not advocating a "witch hunt" as the police have a difficult job to do.............but if it helps the police clean up their act a bit, and it helps the media and the courts to finally realise there ARE two sides to every story, and the police aren't automatically right and the fans aren't always wrong, well it will be a good thing for fans everywhere....................just a shame that so many fans had to tragically perish to get some honesty and openess
