Now obviously I wasn't there on that horrible day in 1989, but it certainly felt like I was meant to experience it today.

We walked back to the St Peter's train station, the first train left and about 50 were left at the bottom of the stairs. Around 200 were kept back behind the police and just as the train was about to arrive, they were all let through. The police then let us up the stairs and everyone at the back started pushing. There was just one massive crush. I somehow made it to the stairs without touching the ground, I just floated. Kids were getting crushed, elderly people were getting flung about everywhere and the police just stood back and watched it.

I had a go at some NUFC fans who just kept pushing forward when we were screaming for them to move back. I had a go at a Police officer to do something as kids were in the middle of it and they eventually started telling people to get back.

A bloke passed out on the train, too much pressure was put on the body and if you didn't have decent upper body strength, you may have struggled to survive. I am not over-exaggerating, it was horrible.

The police just let people push forward, no lines or anything which should have been in place. Terrible scenes and I am just glad everyone got out OK.

I just hope the police learn their lesson.

Just thought I would let people know that even though it was a great win, there can always be a downside to everything and people have to be careful!

Doesn't surprise me was at Central this morning and felt as if the police were gunning for trouble with the Newcastle fans today. One police man was objecting to me going to get the match to me sister's because I had a Newcastle away shirt on from 5 years ago.

True, it was terrible policing. Not a downside to the match so to speak, just a worrying time and proof that policing still needs to improve in this country. A bloke was screaming at other people because his kid was getting squashed against a post.

I was there, when the 2nd train came in everyone pushed from the left and the people on the right only just stayed up. The coppers were **** there to be fair. I thought aside from that though, they policed it well again.

I agree, they did well and I even said well done to one of the coppers inside the ground. They did well. It was just that one moment was quite scary.

Not really an easy job for the police. So many people together at one time and although nearly all are just honest to goodness football fans there's always a chance that one or two idiots might be planning something.

Surely its a downside to the match if **** policing results in your life being unnecessarily endangered?

Would help if idiots didn't push in these situations, was at Donnington one time during a monsters of rock and it got quite scary with so many thousands pushing forwards to the front, managed to get out to the sides but all 4 of us were bruised with the sheer pressure, never went back after that.

People naturally push in these situations. Its up to the police to plan and prepare properly to stop it from happening and rank incompetance to allow it to happen. Sorry, but to say the policing was good but just let down by one moment being quite scary is wrong. There is no room for just one moment in these situations. It could cost someone their life. Great to see they did well elsewhere but they have to take the criticism for this and make sure it doesnt happen again but then thats what we all said after Hillsborough isnt it?

How about people acting with some common sense, people don't naturally push, do we need police at a Macdonalds queue, it's about time that individuals took responsibility for their own actions.

It sounds like once again the trouble has been caused by your large percentage of hooligan, **** **** element of what you call supporters, who has caused trouble and distress for your decent minority...
