Hill and Traore

Better team with both playing IMO. SWP, Mackie or Bothroyd to make way.

 

Might be a better option away from home...

 

I do think Traore is better further forward, Hill's not good enough for the Prem.

 

Mackie is great....never drop Mackie
Jay is not living up to his potential at the minute IMHO

 

I really rate Hill, he is the organizer and the one who actually coaches the team, Gabbidon and Ferdinand are not that good in leading a defense.
To me its really a worry that even Gabs and Ferdinand played together for a long time they are not coping with the pressure when we get outsmarted in the midfield area or lose possession there.

Couldn't disagree more. I think Mackie and SWP should swap wings but other than that I wouldn't change yesterday's team based on what's available at the moment.

I think we'll be back to the 4-2-3-1 next week and Derry may be back in the side...

 

Interestingly I was just advocating something similar myself, but with Traore pushed up to left midfield, SWP in the middle, Hill at left back, Barton and Faurlin as the defensive pair.

 

I'd say there's an argument for playing Hill next week but Derry just seems too off the pace against the top teams. Given Lucas is injured I'd fancy Faurlin and Barton over Charlie Adam and Spearing and we can take the game to them more with a 4-4-2.

 

Sorry to dissapoint, mackie is playing too well to be dropped.
