from what I saw today they're still the backbone of the team. alongside nelsen and mackie. I'm prob stating the obvious but they all really comfortable until Ferdinand came on then we went to pieces. lost our shape etc. still very proud of the 1st hrs play.
Totally agree, along with Ryan Nelsen, what these guys may lack in pace they make up through endeavour & determination. Nice to see more of the old gang in the game. Thought Dyer put in a good performance too along with, as ever, Mackie. Wish Dyer had gone for that shot on goal when he had the opportunity rather than squaring the ball. Adel worked hard, but was a bit selfish at times. Why, oh why, did Bowen bring on Anton Ferdinand to fill the left back spot?
Derry and Hill I dont think have never let us down with their 100 per cent commitment. Im sure if they had played more this season we would have chalked up our first 3 pts by now.
Felt Dyer looked very lost in the beginning, but he definitely progressed and worked his socks off for the entire match. I've always admired Derry just for his pure drive and determination, and it showed today. Same with Mackie and Hill. Would like to see Fabio and Young get a few more games, I thought they've played well when they've been playing. And as much as you could criticise Taraabt we'd be a different team without him.
On reflection, perhaps that was his parting shot at us? Harry will likely bring in his own coaching team, Joe Jordan etc, and I hope Sir Les is included in some sort of capacity.
Probably did us a favour. Bowen showed Harry what a useless t*t AF is so he won't make the same mistake.
I am surprised that Clint and Sean have not called in the fraud squad as there are four or five people within the team pretending to be professional footballers getting paid £50,00 a week while two of our best players are getting half that. Disgrace utter disgrace.
