Off Topic Hijacked Plane

A man strapped with explosives has hijacked a passenger plane during an internal flight in Egypt.

EgyptAir flight MSR181 has now landed at Larnaca Airport in Cyprus, where all but four foreign passengers and the crew have been allowed to disembark.

 

Four Brits supposed to be on board the flight when it departed... I wonder if they're the four foreign passengers.

 

This may not end well.

 

Reading the story, I'm wondering if he's just got some straps round him and he's just pretending that it's an explosive device. The guy seems like he's a bit of a duck egg rather than a hardened terrorist.

Apparently he wants to send a message to his ex-wife who lives just outside of Larnaca. Weird way to do it; does he not know of text or WhatsApp

 

No. But he may find out what a head shot is.

 

I very much doubt it - he's asking for asylum - apparently not terrorist related

 

Surely he can't think he'll just get away with hi-jacking a plane because he wants asylum.

 

Not so much of a cunning plan.

He's supposedly tried to jump out of the cockpit window... He must be really clever.

I wonder if he thought he could just sneak out the back and run off.
