I think our defence are going to chip in with quite a few goal lazios this season. All four have already hit the net! Issue, is the midfield are not! Can you see any of our midfielders scoring more than 5!?
I agree that our defence will be scoring more. Both Tommy and Cressy could get close to 10. As for midfielders I think Anderson could get 6 or 7. As long as we are scoring goals as a team I don't mind where they are coming from. Although I would love to see one of our midfielders chip in with some goals like Matty Holland did when we got promoted last time.
Issue for me, is we are not going to score many in attack I feel, so midfield will be vital. Could Turnicliffe chip in with a few!?
I'm not overly concerned about our Midfield scoring, I'm more concerned that they currently look pretty unbalanced and lack any real intent or creativity. For me it's more important we have midfielders who set up goals and are able to control games than score goals, although that's a bonus. From what I've seen I think Wordsworth definitely has a goal in him, he's very good on the ball and makes good runs into the box, although I'm not entirely sure he'll be anything other than a bit part player for us, as I'm not sure even though Mick signed him he really fits into Micks style but we'll see.
At the moment the defence look like out scoring everyone. Midfield don't need to be prolific but need to chip in with a few. Ptc I too like the look of wordy but his game time seems limited at moment. Anderson should hopefully contribute as will tabb. But what we really need is them cueing up mcgoldrick and whoever else is up front.
