Thats very pleasing to see, good set of fans are the Saints.

Just a bit worried that in two concecutive games we have lost from a winning position, just need to tighten it up and we will be on another run again. Football is crazy, earlier this season we couldnt score, but could defend. Now we can't defend and score every game!!

    I do love the Championship!

NB is trying to be more expansive in our general play rather than the dour & difficult to beat stuff that misery guts instilled in us.

Obviously little margin between success and failure as the last two games have demonstrated.

Parky the clown tried this approach against the likes of West Brom away and Barnsley at home at the start of his tenure at the Club but then bottled it after the 3-2 home defeat to the Tykes and we just got worse.

Hope NB gets the breaks in the next few games that his efforts deserve.

That Barnsley game was awful. I remember Parkin scoring twice in the first ten minutes and then we just gave up.

i agree, we where talking about the same sort of thing last night but used brown as an example, after attacking the premierships big boys, then went real negative after a couple of beatings, and just hope barmby doesnt start to do the same.
this league is so even i believe eventually if we keep attacking and playing like we have, we will more then we lose or at least the same.
win/defeat win/defeat isnt that bad in this league, too many teams go on unbeaten runs but draw half of them and never get anywhere, barmby just needs a bit of luck to get the win bit back up and running and wel be ok hopefully.

yes it was a pleasure to watch that game for sure. just lost the rub of the green and the first 10mins of the 2nd half. NB is so close and the team is much more pleasing on the eye that when NP was in charge. But when you attack you do leave yourselves open more and credit the league leaders for that.

3 games in charge for NB and 10 goals have been seen. Whilst the results have been a tad disappointing the entertaininment and value for money cannot be questioned. lets look forward not back as this crazy league keeps getting crazier. Top 6 iss till on and who knows ? 2 home wins and top 6 by next wednesday night and all will be well with the world. i would be more worried if city were playing poorly. THEY ARE NOT. <ok>

I thought we were very below par last night apart from a few bright patches of lovely passing: not very penetrative. Saints had another gear that we didn't have.

A guy near me in managed to slip in "HE'S ONE OF OUR GNOMES" when singing about Barmby. Comedy!

Give Barmby 2-3 years to build the team. I think we'll miss out this season but if we can build the team then we'll be fine. I think McKenna would have been really useful last night. I'm not keen on Gulacsi, Basso made everyone around him more confident imo.

I thought that you lot did very well against us considering our home form. I would easily say that you were the best team we've played this season, certainly on our patch and your pace really caused us problems. However the saints rised above it and this was probably one of our luckier wins this season. Good luck for the rest of the season and see you at the return fixture.

yes cheers. your not the first saints fan to say that to me or even the 12th. Lol. but your start to the 2nd half IMO was the difference in the end. good luck and i would rather you finish top than the hammers.

Certainly encouraging comments, sometimes it goes like this, you play well but don't get the results. Hopefully a good result against Lesta, and that will be the spring board to push on.

i chatted to a few saints fans going over the rail bridge when we left. It was frustrating but to a man, all agreed we were the best footballing team they have played so far. And when i suggested that west ham are the best team i ve seen this year, carlto cole the best player - thry all laughed!

I hate it, it's good for a neutral maybe but as a fan who wants his team to win and climb the table every week it's a right pain. Plus the refs are **** and half the teams just try and 'stifle' us.

I just mean the losing 4 out of 5 bit, when we've completely dominated 3 of those 4 and still been unlucky in the other.

its almost imposible to get out of the play off chasing pack, youd have to lose about 10 in a row, or win 10 in a row to be clearly in or out, and both seem unlikely (hopefully the losing part anyway)
