Steve Le Fevre from Radio Bristol this morning http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/player/p01jw6m5 7 mins 20 seconds in - Hear Higgs say the JR will cost our club £1 million and that the JR has stopped people donating to a fund that will pay for a Geoff Bradford statue at UWE stadium. 37 mins 25 seconds in - Report from the mem and a live interview with Higgs. 1 hour 37 mins in - Interview with a TRASH director and with Charlotte Leslie fighing TRASH. Interesting debate between them. The TRASH director accused Charlotte of misleading the public and getting facts wrong! No TRASH, you are the ones misleading the public. Steve Le Fevre asked Charlotte how many have voted in the petition and before she could answer the TRASH director answered saying 2500. Charlotte then put her right saying 4/5000 as its not just an online petition as there is lots of paper petitions too so would take a few weeks to add them up. She then said the petition has been going less than a month and proves TRASH is only a small minority who is holding back the benefits for Bristol. Have a listen
It's interesting that despite the fact that the JR can only be upheld with respect to a query regarding the planning procedure, Radice spent the whole interview raising the old arguments which were dismissed by the planners.
Radice is clutching at straws. The whole anti trash thing is gaining some real momentum and I think the green witch is going to have some big regrets when some day in the future she looks back at her shattered political career.
I'm most certainly not a Tory, but fair play to Charlotte Leslie. At last we have a local politician standing up for our football club and for the progression of Bristolian sport and stadia in general. I sincerely hope that Radice and her cabal get what's coming to them at the ballot box.
