Looks like: Mignolet Bardsley - Ferdinand - Brown - Richo Larsson - Catts - Gardner - Colback Sess Gyan Happy to see Colback getting another run, big wrap for this lad, even in his non preferred position out left. Will this be close to our starting 11 for Liverpool? I would think so.....
Would imagine thats pretty much what our starting Xl will be for Liverpool thought Bramble would of started like would imagine we will have someone in before Liverpool to play on the left (Bellamy?)
Getting a bit scared now with richardson seeming to be primed to start at LB. Not good, not good at all.
GK - Mig RB - Bardo CB - Anton CB - Brown LB - Richo RM - Larssen CM - Catts CM - Gardner LM - Colback ST - Sess ST - Gyan Surely as the last pre-season friendly this must be the line up for Liverpool? If this is I think we will get F**ked! Colback on the left is dodgy... and Richardson LB, the less said the better :/ I will and truly hope this is not the team for liverpool
Would like to see Bruce be a bit more "tactical" with the way we set up and substitutions etc. For example, I know that our main formation this season will be See just off Gyan, so agree this should be the area of focus. Buts let's face it, numerous times in the coming season we are going to be chasing games. In those situations I guarantee Bruce will throw Wickham or Ji on to support Sess and Gyan up front. I may be wrong, but I can't remember him playing 3 attackers yet this pre-season. Granted imnot a Premier League manager.....but I would have thought it was worthwhile......
Always, don't rate Richardson (just like so many others on here), but in a game I hope he does well, but I've come to expect the opposite from him.
Ricco tackles per game: 1.9 ----> same as Nedum Onuoha who also made 1.9 tackles per game last season (bardsley was better than both) the stats where Bardo beats Ricco by a bit are interceptions and clearances. They blocked a similar amount of shots, and Bardsley was dribbled past the SAME amount of times as Ricco. Ricco beats Bardsley in successful passes and crosses. He also had more shots and scored more. His dribbling success was also much better, only behind SESS. Ricco played the long ball less often than Bardsley, which is good imo. Horses for courses?
bardo got 3 goals playing full back, richo scored twice at blackpool but he was playing just behind gyan, if it was a choice between the 2 i'd definately choose bardo
just beat me to it, and last season that was Bruce's opinion as well. Don't misunderstnd me, when ever he starts at left back (or anywhere else for that matter) I want him to do well. But I've seen him too many times play poorly to think that he'll do anything else.
