    Yep.

I feel the same as when Sousa left. Shock for the first 30 minutes, then a feeling of intense release. At last I can see a way forward, where we can start to build again and improve. The prospect of more of the ***** we've been playing for the last 12 months was almost unbearable.

I'm sure Monk will be rattling some cages and kicking some arses. Time for a few home truths, time for some passion and desire.

    STID!

Agree as well. I think Monk will do better than most think. But how long will he be in charge. With Hoddle coming for an interview it could just be one match. But maybe he's being groomed for the future. A few years under Hoddle, then take over when he leaves. That seems to be the plan.

that is exactly how i felt campion without the shock as i was told that it was looking more likely than not that jinx was going to sack him....If any fan cared then they would have seen his record since the cup final to see that we were going nowhere. there have been managers sacked for a far better win rate than laudrup had......jinx's has bent over backwards and left him alone since the transfer row and gave him more than a fair chance to turn things around and laudrup was more concerned with his outside work he was forever doing...jinx had to step in and do something and im glad he did...

ML was reaping the benefits of what had gone before. When push came to shove he just did not have it.

Look what we were being served up
    Luke warm soup
    Undercooked meat
    Cold and runny custard.

    IMO of course.

I expect Monk will up the fitness levels and it is needed. As for tactics and organisation, when he was playing he couldn't even organise his own back four. Could NEVER deal with high crosses either.
