Where in Croatia? I have been to Porec, Opatija, Dubrovnic many years ago when Tito was in charge under the old Yugoslavia.
I'm in Pula,Medulin.Hotel excellent.Weather @ time of writing 37° 11am. I've been to Dubrovnik,well not stayed there but on the islands of Lopud and Kolocep,both quiet and highly recommended. Lovely country , especially when you drive from Rijeka along the coast south when you first see the islands off the coast , breathtakingly beautiful. I went there as part of a humanitarian aid convoy down to Gospic and across to Novska in 95 , Croatia had declared it's independence and was recognised as such but it was still a very dodgy place to visit where cross border skirmishes still occurred .I'd love to have a holiday there , it was beginning to get very popular pre war as quiet a few mates went there as an alternative to Spain .
