Hey Gunners fans!Saints fan in peace here. After the international break we play Arsenal at the Emirates, I'm looking forward to the match as Arsenal are my favourite "big club" and I always hope that you do well every season.I've always enjoyed your football, especially when you were winning trophies, plus you've got some ex-saints in Oxo Cube and Walcott. Hopefully Maya Yosihda and Gaston Ramirez will make their debuts against Arsenal (fingers crossed they don't get injured). How do you think you'll get on against the saints and where do you think you'll finish?
With our attacking play starting to click, I am confident that we can beat you at home. Your defence is clearly not as organised as Stoke's and Sunderland's, so I can't see you parking the bus and frustrating us. In defence, the stats speak for themselves, so again, I pretty confident that we can deal with your attacking threats.
Should be a good game. I've got a softspot for Southampton as I went tu Uni there and watched several games at St Mary's. You guys looked good for the first 60 mins against United but I think Cazorla,Podolski etc.. will be too much for the Saints defence (which completely fell apart against United)
Yeah, I think both our respective defenses are both teams weaknesses, you've got the better players, but we can certainly give you a good game. Arsenal 3-2 Saints two late Arsenal goals?.
I wouldn't say that. We can defend now. I didn't understand your transfer policy, you really needed a defender, yet brought in more attacking players.
I'm sure you guys will probably go at us, so it will be interesting to see how well our defence does as you're a really good attacking side. Your defence has been pretty poor though and I would be surprised if we didn't put at least a couple of goals in against you. I'm just hoping we can contain Lallana and Lambert! There should some really good football though, gutted I couldn't get tickets for it really.
Your defense is good, but not great. It's called total football. We can't defend, but we can attack.Attack is the best form of defense, they say. I think that that Jap defender that we bought should be pretty good and Ramirez will hopefully be a class acquisition.
I think it'll be a tough game... we need to prove we can win at home now too. Carry on the good work. I expect Southampton will be up for it... new promoted clubs always give us grief. However I am hoping the Bould effect will mean we only need to worry about scoring...
Lallana and Lambert will be up for the match. If you watched the saints game on sunday, you would of noticed a young frenchman by the name of Morgan Schneiderlin, he had a superb game and just totally bossed the midfield, Arsenal were after him before he signed for us.He is a very good player.Watch out for him.
Yeah, I know a lot of the Saints side as I've been to a fair few matches at St Mary's. You have some very talented players who'll give us a tough game on the 15th, but if our defence keeps up the level of performance it's been showing so far you guys are gonna have to be really on the ball to get anything out of it.
3 clean sheets on the bounce means Bould seems to be doing a good job, a area you guys have been weak in since your Tony Adams days. I would certainly like to see you guys challenging again got top spot, for the neutrals it makes things more exciting. Most clubs will know by now our biggest weakness is at the back, so it would mean you having a off day and us a top day to keep your guys out. I hope we can steal a draw at least and then you can get back to your challenge for the league.
It was great watching Southampton run the United defence ragged the other day. It's just a shame that Adkins reverted to defending the lead with ten minutes to go. Teams do this against Utd far too often, and they are great at exploiting it.
