I'm normally not too keen on personalised number plates.
Why anyone wants the world to know that their name is

WI 77 IAM RO 8 ERT or V 10 LET

I don't know. It smacks a bit of affectation, a bit like our
    Mayor and his red trousers.

But sometimes I see a number plate which makes I laff.
Recently, driving into London..M4 onto A4, through Earls
Court to where the road goes alongside the river, I saw two cars
parked side by side outside a grand house. Their plates were:

    2 BE and NOT 2 B

Driving down the M5 I was overtaken by a woman driving

    M 155 XXX

A while ago in Brentford there was a sports car I frequently saw with

    PEN 15

Have you seen any good ones?

There has to be a SH 1 T somewhere, Lansdown probably bought it years ago.

This year there will be some good ones up for grabs for people of Bristol.

BR15 TOL has gone to auction
    BR15 CTY
BR15 RVR , etc which I believe have all gone, wouldn't surprise me to see them on team coaches. but there's a few that's still available.

The downside of buying these would also incur a cost that you have to buy a brand new car, due to the fact it's illegal to put a new plate on an older car.

But sorry to disappoint Pirate 49 I am an owner of a private plate. Which is currently on my wife's car, which it's made up of my initials and date of birth can also fit to her as well.

    Chav! <laugh>

I did wonder about the BR15TOL plate.
Mind you , there should be a lot of BR15*** plates. BR is for cars registered in the Birmingham area.

It's my date of the month and the month X27 then my full initals, and she was born on the 27th so it's just luck. The X is a kiss from the daughter.
She bought it for me, but when I opted back into company car she put it on her car. Pisses her off because she has to registrar her car in my name all the time because she's too tight to transfer the plate to her name. Happy enough to upgrade her car every two years (and bare in mind we are talking new 3 series all the time) but not to pay £175 to transfer, then moans at me about it.
When she got, she asked the eldest to get a box for her to wrap it in, he worked in superdrug at the time so told her to call in for it. Just so he could watch her walk out with a big tenalady box <laugh>
