attention , attention ..................would the next Chelsea manager please proceed to Stamford bridge.. thank you !
I actually don't think Chelsea are a bad team, their manager is awful though. Too inexperienced... they may need some new players as well. Disappointing result today really.
We got a REAL chance to go past Newcastle,Liverpool and Chelsea in the next few weeks. That means 4th. Hate being on 7th for what seems like ages.
Abramovich being a **** as usual. He should have stuck with Ancelotti, proven experience. Actually, he should have stuck with Mourinho. Mourinho - Should have kept Grant - He did OK, could have won the champions league. Scolari - At the start of the season he was in charge, chelsea were godlike. Hiddink - I think Abramovich WANTED him to stay. Ancelotti - Top, proven manager. Villas Boas - Inexperienced. His team did good in their league.
I actually think AVB isn't too bad.. You can see what he wants to try to do. He just didn't inherit the squad to pull it off. He needs 10 more Mata purchases. Because pretty much everyone at Chelsea is either not good enough or too old.
once you get that revolving door mentality at the club .... your screwed . Ancellotti did very well for them. But not good enough for RA . he expects the world . but he wont drop the donkeys at the club. he will get what he deserves.
I think the current players are not compatible with the system he is trying to play. To me Chelsea looked at their best when they are playing tight, organised and defensive football a la Mourinho/ Ancelotti. The solution is either to change the manager or the players as both are not compatible right now.
I pity AVB. He's inherited an ageing squad on a downward spiral, and is expected to work miracles with these players. It takes time to implement a system, and i get the feeling he won't be getting the time he needs. I've already put a bet on Hiddink being chelsea manager by christmas.
It's funny how Arsenal fans are always talking about wanting Usmanov to buy the club so he could spend his billions on players
I have no issues with buying success. It's the way the modern game has gone, look at Barcelona in spain, they get public money from their government to buy players. I wouldn't mind Usmanov's billions funding our attempt at success, though i think Arsene would have issues with it. His problem is that he's old school, trying to win with a squad that has grown together, rather than been assembled through strong finances, a la Man City.
If we were to replace our board with a sugar daddy, then we couldn't really complain about other teams doing it.
