Ipswich in talks but says we're interested despite denials by SB.. http://www.eadt.co.uk/sport/ipswich...ull_city_for_emile_heskey_signature_1_1453539
I liked the idea, but now we have Proshwitz, I don't see much point. Unless we could get him on a good deal, perhaps pay as you play etc... but I don't see that happening, he will want some half decent money for his last deal.
I agree, and Proschwitz is a player of potential wheras Heskey is heading in the other direction.. signing a talented young striker shows us to be a progressive club.
If we get rid of McLean then I'd like to see Heskey here. That way we have two of each target men and poachers for interchangable partnerships - Heskey/Prosch & Fryatt/Simpson.
The whole Heskey situation is down to Mrs Heskey. FACT imo, Steve Bruce will want 5 strikers and i dont see Mark Cullen being one of them.
After confidently predicting we had signed Steve morison two years ago and last season confidently saying we had definitely signed Ayala, isnt it about time you shut the **** up. You know nowt yet pretend you have connections its laughable.
"Though the Tigers this week signed German frontman Nick Proschwitz for £2.5 million, and manager Steve Bruce dismissed the Heskey rumours earlier this month, the Hull boss is reportedly still considering a move." re·port·ed·ly/riˈpôrtədlē/ Adverb: According to what some say (used to express the speaker's belief that the information given is not necessarily true).
I see a new feature on this site... Doveston's "word of the day".. today it's "reportedly" tomorrow it's ****
Emile Heskey and his wife have just landed their microlight on Hymers playing fields. She has apparently changed her views on Hull after spending fifteen minutes in The Deep and St Stephens.
You really are a goon, mate. My reply to yours (OK, it was a bit cack-handed) was meant as a congratulation to you - for having posted something sensible/constructive, rather than your usual obscene ranting. OK?
(10 posts removed) For ****'s sake children, pack it in. Heskey would be a good signing providing the wages were at a level that meant he didn't have to play every single game for us to get value for money. Not so worried about his fitness for starting them all, just don't want it to mean that either the other strikers in the squad are permanently competing for one place or that Heskey would be earning too much for the role he was playing for us. Largely irrelevent though. Whilst all it is is reports it's no more reliable than picking a name out of a hat. It's just reporters looking at it and going "Heskey's on a free, Bruce used to manage him, he might ask him and the connection might help complete the deal, so let's say they're after him and we'll look like we knew really early if he does go there".
Not at all. If i was guessing then i would refer to it as imo. Ive been told by 2 unrelated sources about the delays in the Heskey deal. ffs, even Ian Wright knows about it is all i will add. Lets just wait and see eh ? TWT.
First of all you need to shut the **** up. 2nd, I said nothing about signing Steve Morrison apart from maybe it being a rumour,, and 3rd, The Ayala deal was done but Hull City delayed signing it off and Norwich City came in and took him. I dont care what you think or say regardless. Oh by the way Chazz, your not related to a certain Frank Spencer by any chance ? Just asking.!!
