    I must admit I didn't know how well Emile would be known down under, but what a terrific bit of business that move could turn out to be on and off the pitch.

    Now, does any broadcaster want to buy the UK rights to the A league so we can see how the old boy's doing?!

    I'm chuffed. Pity he isn't playing for the Pheonix but can't wait to see him play in the flesh again. For those who remember them, Paul Ifill is still going for the Pheonix although probably on his last legs and Chris Greenacre is now coaching here. No doubt some will say they were on their last legs long ago but they have been good for helping establish and maintain a pro team in NZ and playing in the Aussie league

    Remember them both. Chris Greenacre had loads of hype around him for a while - just like Maynard. Scored a few goals - as did Ifell from midfield. Neither truly set the world on fire, but both good honest professionals.
