I thought it would have been the other way round, RR getting the news from Ssn. If its a case of waiting for the club to announce it then we could be in for a long wait. They're never in a hurry to announce anything.
I hope he understands and admits to himself ( although he won't) that he is probably the least successful of all Sunderland players in the clubs entire history. I can't imagine that unless they only played a handful of times, anyone has as few wins
Oh no mate. Sky are just as bad as HITC for rehashing(At least HITC link to their sources so in that way they're better than sky). Seriously. I can't remember the last time sky broke a story. Everything they break has already been broken by a journo or fanzine on twitter or has just been announced in a press conference. For example Sky in Italy in this instance is actually. Nico Schira a reporter for RCS MediaGroup, not sky. Sky are a sham, they just comb twitter for their stories. It's local journos and fanzines who know the people on the inside, move in constant circles close to the club while the likes of Sky and the BBC are detatched. I just don't like the terms 'official' and 'confirmed' from sources outside the club who are in no position to say anything official as they've no official affiliation. They should show humility to the source inside the club who has given them the information in the first place. I think it's disrespectful to the club not to leave their reporting as an open question and leave the official confirmations to the club. At the same time the club should be striving to break the story first. You know what i'm like with journalism fella, gets me on my high horse
And most importantly here: https://www.safc.com/news/team-news/2018/june/rodwell-leaves-sunderland " The club and Jack wish each other every success for the future."
Well our current management are certainly getting into the deadwood and slowly getting rid. Only another six or so to go. Happy days.
I'm morbidly curious what he'll do next. Will another club take him and if so who, and if there is somehow someone stupid enough to do so then how will he perform and how often will he play? Normally when players leave I vaguely wish them well at the time then forget all about them but in Jacko's case I'll keep an eye on his career, wishing him the worst at every turn.
According to Sky: "Sunderland have cancelled the contract of Jack Rodwell, with the midfielder now expected to move to a club in MLS." I'm surprised that anyone would be interested. edit: According to the echo... MLS side New England Revolution have tried to sign him in the past. And there are fresh reports of interest from Greek club Aris Thessaloniki
If he goes anywhere I'd imagine it'd have to be based on his time at City and Everton when he was a big name, and surely they also couldn't do any research on his time here or they wouldn't even consider it. Someone absolutely clueless with a lot of money I guess it'd have to be.
OK, I read this thread from the start. EVEN WHEN I got to the bit that claimed it was confirmed by the CLUB, I didn't believe the link and checked the site for myself. How this was done I don't know. Some sort of Don-Corleone offer that he couldn't refuse? Who cares. Feels as good as a top signing. Somebody in our set up deserves praise. So, Rodders off to M.L.S.. Perhaps he thinks it means My Legs' Sore, so he'll be in good company. Of course he's made enough money in the last four years to retire comfortably.
Thank fek for that. What a horrible little maggot he has been at our Club. The news just gets better and better, Germany are out of the World Cup....Happy days.
It’s not his fault that we overpaid him... it IS his fault that he’s a **** and absolutely ****ing useless!!! Thank **** that he'll be gone.
