Bassini is back in the news again. Like a zombie he is back to haunt us. Will his toxic legacy never go away? Now the club is being sued by the company who lent money to Bassini against the Danny Graham transfer revenue, which was never repaid. Never mind that the money was paid to a Bassini company and never benefited the club at all--in fact has vanished who knows where. The loan company has chosen to sue the club not Bassini (who will not even appear at the hearing) because it knows Bassini has no resources and would probably not even turn up. Now the club has to defend itself at great expense, against his misdemeanours . What a shambles. Now where is that wooden stake.... http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sp...gacy_lingers_on_as_money_lenders_sue_Hornets/
The Pozzos won't want to be forced to pay quite a large bill (900k could get a new player or help develop the ground etc) because of what the previous owner did! We should force Bassini to pay it.
How do we know he isn't already doing that? That would go some way towards explaining the apparently diminishing stocks around UK waters....
I'd like to see the Pozzos get the cash back that the club paid these sharks and the judge to tell them to go after where the money went not an entity not involved in the transaction or benefiting from it. I'd also like to meet the fat f****r in a dark alley some time......
He will if ever I get hold of him. Bury him under the East Stand, never. Like everything else he touches, it would collapse.
It wasn't just us that lost money through Twatsini and I genuinely hope that that if watford Fc do in fact owe this money then it should be paid in full including the interest. Once everything is paid and our creditors are happy only then can we draw a line under the short leadership of this cretin and move on. But to hear that he came out of all of this with a bank account exceeding £4 million is awful, because that was the money that we made through the sale of Young and Danny Graham. That should have been Watfords money DAMMIT!!
It seems that Watford the football club saw no benefit at all from the sale of Danny Graham. What did Bassini do with the money his company borrowed against the security of the Graham transfer fee? We will never know, since he is not being brought to court to explain it. It also seems a bit odd that our experienced directors accepted Bassini's verbal assurances that he had sufficient resources of his own to finance the SE corner refurbishments. Did no one make any checks, given his track record? How did he manage to pull the wool over the eyes of so many experienced business men? We no longer hear about the knee surgeon or the lady hairdresser who were prominent in the early days of his regime. Were they left out of pocket or just with a red face? Not the only ones.
It would be if it were like mine. Comes in from my employer then goes out to Tescos & the mortgage provider.
