It's one of things you want to succeed so desperately..... Anybody know what Graham Coughlan is doing? And Hemmings signed up for the remainder of the season too.
Well if thats the case.........it raises a lot of questions. 1).....His he over the hill and only a bit part player (how good is that knee?). 2).....Who will be in charge on the pitch............who will be captain ? 3).....What will be Fletchers thoughts on him coming back ? 4).....Will Fletch Speak become a problem with someone like Wotton. 5).....How will Wotton cope with Fletcher being the Gaffer ? 6).....How long will peace prevail between Wotton,Fletcher and Walton......especially if Fletcher's leadership doesn't bring points and success. This could be a time bomb and with no real senior management in place.....who will be able to sort it out.
Hardly a bit player is he?. Has played week in week out for Yeovil scoring four goals in 44 games and mainly as captain even playing in their last match when drubbed 4-0 by the Blades last Saturday. So he must be fit, must say i am somewhat surprised, but I would say given our recent capitulations this signing is positive, could hardly accuse Wotton of not playing with passion for his club could you.
This gets better and better in the how many can we get from previous years competition. I am surprised at this one to be honest. I always like Wotton despite a lot of people not liking him much and he was branded a bit of a donkey when we moved up the leagues. But we are not up the leagues anymore so who knows how this will pan out. Like notdistant, you just hope above all things that this works out because he is the greenest of greens there probably has ever been. No doubt this is the last move for him as well. I notice the will he fall out with Fletcher off the field or Walton on it but there is also a certain Darren Purse to bring into the equation. Could be entertaining.
Nobody has mentioned he was a bully on and off the pitch .... personally I thought he was over the hill when he left us !
Because I don't recognise the title of bully for him Gat is why I don't mention it. As a punter who was never in the inner sanctum of the dressing room or knew him personally off it, I only ever saw somebody who was totally committed to Argyle through and through. Now I'm not saying he wasn't a bully but only that I did not know him as that personally. He was never going to fit into the Championship as that league was above his level. So rather than over the hill I would prefer out of his depth for the standard. As I said he is the greenest player ever so for that alone I hope it doesn't end in failure for him given his service to this club previously.
I think he will do a good job still for the club, but his temper along with a few others mention could be entertaining!
At this stage of the season given our descent towards relegation I don't give a monkeys toss anymore who comes in,as long as we start winning some bloody games.
I noticed on another site that somebody mentioned bully as well so presume those in the know knew him better than those that just supported the club but did not get into the individual players. I therefore hope he has mellowed but not lost his green streak.
I'm a bit more fussy than some because I don't welcome him back cos I repeat he is a bully on the field (yes I witnessed him bullying another of our players) and once I tried to help him in a garage and he looked at me as though I was something he'd trodden in ! Oh and if what I heard was right he deserved everything Zebroski did to him !
I like Wotton because he is greener than the greenest BUT I have heard from another source who a relative has had first hand experience of his bullying. Maybe bullies make damned good captains because he certainly was that!
He may be a little more humble now who knows but as long as he does the business on the field and the team start winning then to be honest he could kick me every week or even ignore me with a distainful look anytime.
With Yeovil deciding that Wotton no longer can be guaranteed a regular starting place in the team.........has Yeovil's new manager come to the conclusion that Wotton isn't up to DIV ONE football ...........or does he feel that as captain he was to dominate over proceedings at the club. I take your point aka .........but was he only going to be a bit part player from now on..........and how as that knee changed his game from the one that he used to play before the injury so successfully at Argyle........thats what I was hinting at aka.
I am over the moon at his return. You can be skeptical but if nothing else some goals from set pieces will be on the cards. I have no doubt the younger players will look up to him. Welcome home Wotts!!!
